We caught up with DDA student Billy Levi just before he graduated. He passed his final tests and received his CDL Class A license on Friday, March 23, 2012. We sat down with him as he was busy filling out applications to different trucking companies he would like to work for.
Q: Why did you come to DDA?
“I came to get my CDL because I wanted to work in the driving business.”
Q: What did you think when you first starting classes?
“I thought it would be hard and long, but it turned out to be fast and easy! When I first made it to the road I was nervous, but Greg (my instructor) got that out of me.”
Q: How do you feel now right before you are about to graduate?
“It felt like a big burden was lifted off my shoulder when I blew that horn at the end of my road test.”
Q: Any advice for future students?
“The best advice I can give to new students is to pay attention and listen to the instructor and do whatever they tell you.”
